Vintage Pink Cross Charm Ring by Glamour Twinkles

I am currently embarking on getting my newly redesigned website up and running. This blog is PR for my site and serves as my timeline, a very public record of how much I (must not) procrastinate in getting my website online and keeping it updated with new items as I make them. I make and wear my own jewellery, trying designs before I put new items online to sell. It’s a great gig having new jewellery to wear all the time.

I make my “glam gems” when I’m not slaving over a hot computer. I’m an unassuming admin assistant by day and a Sparkles Queen by nite.

I use all sorts of “media” for my Glamour Twinkles like buttons, beads, sequins, wire, brass, copper, fake flowers, bells, ribbons, chains, etc. My favourite past time is shopping at haberdashery and craft shops, and buying and recycling old jewellery pieces.

Other interests include: some time short story writing, gadgets (cell phones, pda’s, Nintendo DS (waaay too much gaming); and the spooky side of life.

Inspired by: The Carrotbox website, Etsy, Rena Klinkenberg (informative website with loads of jewellery biz info), my jewellery pix “look books” with cool gem pix I’ve picked up over the past few years, stylish gals like Gwen Stefani (“1st  album Gwen”, not so much “2nd baby Gwen”), Edie Sedgwick (big earrings ‘n cropped hair), early Kate Moss (not Pete – Era Kate), Japanese goths (v. different to UK/western goths), rosaries, crosses – jewellery related items.

Big spending on: platform shoes, knee high boots, I’m a keen handbag collector (over 60 bags at last count – no kidding!) I love the “Minnie Mouse polka dot dress” – look, frills and ruffles with knee high platform boots etc.

I have a quick sense of humour and I am somewhat eccentric (or crazy, depending on who you ask).
